Welcome to Cera De Luxe

My name is Louise, I'm the face behind CDL. I am a Mum of three beautiful (cheeky) children. Married to my wonderful husband Lee (we celebrated our 10 year anniversary this year, lucky man that he is). We live on a little island on the Kent Coast. We absolutely love it here, especially the beautiful beaches and rolling farmers' fields that surround us.

When our children were small, I began upcycling furniture as a bit of a hobby, and my passion for creativity and searching for a bargain grew. I find it very therapeutic to restore old furniture and give it a new lease! I built it up from a hobby to a small business which I loved, but having my third baby was one too many hands to keep off and watch the paint dry - quite literally!

 I don't know about you, but there's a real satisfaction to me in finding something beautiful and high end, that doesn't come with an eye watering price tag. We all love a bargain don't we!?

I love that luxurious, pampered, all about me for a moment, feeling. Life is full on sometimes, of course there are the good days but there are also the days you can't wait to get those kids into bed and put your feet up! Home is our sanctuary and I am a homebody, so I like to give my home that little feel of luxury whenever I can.

In 2019 I found a new love and obsession with wax melts and candles (some a little on the expensive side - oops!) and this is where the idea for CDL was born.

After months and months of research and testing we were ready to launch! I thoroughly enjoyed the process of making them and my first intentions were that I would start making and selling them to friends and family expecting a few orders here and there. Little did I know that I was about to share products that you would all go mad for! The website sold out in the first 4 hours and my humble projection was now looking at 70 orders to fulfil. I was blown away. I love a challenge and I love a project to put my heart and soul in to. Since then we have come quite a way, we now have a dedicated workshop (my husbands grateful that I'm no longer hogging the house) and 3 members of staff who also happen to be members of our family. So that's where we are today, a fabulous family run business.

To anyone who has ever made an order, thank you. I hope I can help bring a little luxury to you and your home and after two years so far, I cannot thank you enough for launching my humble idea into something I am still pinching myself for today. Grateful doesn't even cut it. Thank you!
